I have created Windows EC2 instance with couple of EBS volumes attached (while creating the instance itself). When I did the RDP, I did not see those drives. When I go to disk manangement, I see them offline. Even when I make it online, I don't see them in the drives list. Can you please let me know why am I not seeing those. I have followed as per the demo in the self learning video.
Did you initialize the disk after making it online?
Thanks & Regards
Yes Sonal, I have initialized. I have terminated the instance as EBS volumes will be charged. I created again today and saved the screenshots. Please check the attached file and let me know where I went wrong.
I guess, it was not showing up as it was unallocated. So, I did allocate by selecting "new simple volume" and it appeared under drives.
ohh, so you missed attaching volume.
Volumes were attached. I have added them while creating EC2 instance itself. I have also checked the volumes and all were showing attached. But still, I had to explicitly allocate in the instance. In the video, he added the volumes while creating the ec2 instance and did not do anything in ec2 instance, but the extra disks appeared under drives.
