Hi,

I am not able to download the file sale.csv in Solutions_Retail.pdf. (For R Project under Retail). So I am not able to complete that part in my project. Please help in sending the file.

Hi Subir,

I would like to inform you that, the quiz of each lesson is a practice for the simulation Test. So, kindly make sure you practice all the quiz (Under Syllabus Tab). And I am sure you will able to clear the Simulation test in your first attempt.

I would like to inform you that the Sale.csv file is the output which you will be generating. That is the reason it is not provided for you to download. I hope this will help you. All the very best for your Project and course completion.

I am not sure whether I have created the correct sale.csv as per instruction in Pg-4 under solutions for Solution_Retail. However, when I run using it I am getting the following error:
install.packages('forecast', dependencies = TRUE)
require(forecast)
sales <- read.csv("sales.csv")
salests <- ts(sales, start = 1, frequency = 7)
fit<-auto.arima(salests)
"Error in auto.arima(salests) :
auto.arima can only handle univariate time series"
I am attaching the sale.csv which I created & used.
Can you please, help? Also can you share the proper sale.csv to get the results as shown in the solution?

Hi Subirmitro,

Hope you are doing fine.

The sales.csv file that needs to be created in this project contains only one column i.e. Sales. Variable 'Sales' is calculated by getting sum of each column of 'Dress Sales' data.
The command : salests <- ts(sales, start = 1, frequency = 7) creates the time interval attribute with a 7-day interval.
So you do not require the date column.
I am attaching the sales.csv file for your reference.
The use of auto.arima() is limited to univariate time series analysis. A univariate time series is a time series with a single time dependent variable.
