Hi All,

No, the PDUs do not expire.

If you are using PDUs for the PMP application: no cut off date for the certificate.
If you are using PDUs for renewing your PMP cycle: the certificate must be achieved within the same cycle; if you have extra PDUs in one cycle, you can forward some to the next cycle

I have a few queries
1. What's the deadline for submitting the project
2. I am planning to give the exam with PMBOK6 - like once its launched so would these 35 PDUs be considered then since these PDUs I would have earned on the basis of training on PMBOK5
Please suggest and advise

You can submit your project at the earliest. We have sent you the recording of a Project mentoring session.

Yes, the PDUs you have earned now will be counted for applying for PMP exam based on PMBOK 6th edition.

Dear Mukesh , can you please send me recording of the project mentoring session too .

Hi, I have completed training and project for PMBOK5, however, could not complete the test with 80% marks yet. Do i need to complete the test before 26th March to get my pdu or i can take it up after this date too ?

Hi, can you please send me the recording of the project mentoring session for PMP? I completed the course yesterday, but so far nobody contacted me regarding the project mentoring session.

Thanks,

Hi,

I earned my 35 PDUs before exam focused on 6th Edition. I have decided to finally study and take it, will the PDUs earned under the 5th edition be valid for completing the application?
Please let me know, Thank you.

Hi Simplilearn team,
Just had a query. I have got 35 PDUs from simplilearn and have done session as part of my MBA and the lectures are counted as 35 PDUs. Now i am filling the application for the exam. I will account the simplilearn PDUs for filling up my application. Query is what happens to the remaining 35 PDUs, Will they expire? or can I use them for renewal? Kindly guide. Thanks

Contact hours are the 35 professional development hours you collect in order to take your exam. They never expire, in reference to applying for, and taking the exam.

PDUs are professional development units, and apply toward retaining your PMP. You must be a PMP to collect and submit these professional development hours, in order to have them approved towards re-certification by PMI.

Therefore, this 35 hour group you don't use toward application, which have occurred before attaining your PMP, are not necessary for application, yet cannot be used toward re-certification.
