In one of the mock tests, there is this question (to be exact, there is no question at all):

    "
You are examining the network paths for your project. Path A's duration is : 1-2-3-5-8)

    SELECT THE CORRECT ANSWER
    A. Path B's duration is 1-3-5-6-7
    B. Path C
    C. Path B
    D. Path A
    "

What kind of question is this? and what's the answer?

    It's question 37 in exam 3 - here's the question:

You are examining the network paths for your project. Path A's duration is: 1-2-3-5-8; Path B's duration is 1-3-5-6-7; Path C's duration is 1-2-5-4-9; and Path D's duration is 2-3-4-4-8. Which of the following is the critical path for this project?

    Path D
    Path C
    Path B
    Path A

Something has broken between the data and your course console; please contact support.

p.s. What's the answer now? (grin)

There seem to be a few questions in the simulation test papers that have broken linkages; I provided the question above as it should read.

Are you able to determine the answer now? If you wish me to dissect and provide the answer, please say so - however, it's good practice to try the answer first.

I'll continue to look for comments on this thread.

Hi Tim, I am still unable to determine the CP as I cannot find any durations nor logical way to compare the paths. Are we supposed to be able to answer this without any duration info? Thanks

If you look at the question in the top, you observe the durations are missing from B,C, and D. I went back to the original question and found them.

What makes a critical path critical? The fact that it has the longer duration. You can determine the solution from this understanding.

I believe the answer is B? 22 is the longest duration = critical path.....

B is correct. Unless otherwise stated, assume all F-S relationships, no leads, no lags. We're comparing simple sums.
