    Hi Prashant,

    Attached is my assignment for Day4 for the Data Pre-Processing Melbourne House Price Analysis in HTML format. I finished only the statistical part of the assignment. As for the Domain analysis I run out of time.

    BTW, I tried to recreate the class work on my Jupyter Lab using the re-process_datasample.csv. For the categorical data, I tried using Imputer to replace NaN values and it did not work because Imputer is deprecated and SimpleImputer replaced Imputer. I Googled up on how to use SimpleImputer and I came across an issue with OneHotEncoder. The error message was (I also attached an image for you to see). Can you help me please to understand why this is not working

    Hi Irene
    What I feel in the following command
    inputFeatures = np.array([[TV_expenses, radio_expenses, newspaper_expenses]])
    sales_prediction = ad_linReg.predict(np.array([[inputFeatures]]))

    inputFeatures is made 4 D by enclosing [ ] twice at two places.
    Try making the 2nd line
    sales_prediction = ad_linReg.predict(np.array(inputFeatures))

    Hi Prashant,

    Attached are the three assignments for the Decision Tree Regressor and Random Forest Regressor using Cars, USA Housing and Advertising datasets for your review.

    Neither Decision Tree Regressor nor Random Forest Regressor were good models for these datasets. I noticed that DT or RF are not very good models for continues datasets, not sure if this is a correct observation.

    Regards,
    Irene

    Hi Prashant,

    For Project work, I submitted California Housing and Phishing Detector projects. They were already reviewed and approved. However, I would like to hear your opinion as well. Could you please review them and let me know your opinion and what improvements should be made (did I miss anything).

    I am now on my third project - MercedesBenz. In MercedesBenz project, could you please help me understand what is the ID column in Mercedes-Benz dataset? Is it a car ID model? It is not clear by just looking at the dataset.

    MercedesBenz ID column (in training dataset) has 8417 unique values (it is an additional column to the index column), which is more than the number of rows in the training dataset. Is it possible that there are 8417 unique car models in Mercedes-Benz manufacturing?
    The reason I am asking about ID column because I am trying to figure out whether this column should be as part of Features column or just drop the entire column, if it does not have any value. What would be the difference between the index ID vs MercedesBenz ID provided by the dataset. The only thing that I could see is that MercedesBenz ID provided by the dataset represents car models, if not then there seems to be no value.

    Could you please clarify. Understanding the ID column in MercedesBenz makes a big difference because I need to figure out what to do with this column and where it belongs: Is it part of the Feature column (if it is a feature then it could be part of the Features list) or is it supposed to be part of the Index column (if it is a second Index then it could be eliminated)

    Your help is greatly appreciated,

    thank you so much in advance
    Irene

    Hi Prashant,

    For some reason I was not able to get into the live session today. I opened a support ticket so hopefully they will fix it and I will be able to come back tomorrow for class.

    I started project #2 - Income Qualification and I have questions regarding the Bias: How to check whether the dataset has a bias or not. I know that it is to do with the variances. Is there a way to identify the Bias by looking at the dataset? I googled up the methods to figure out the way to identify the bias and found that the library Aequitas will be able to determine that. When I tried to install Aequitas, I run into issues as it does not seem to be available for Anaconda. Is there a simpler way (other than Aequitas) to figure out Bias in the dataset just by looking at it or calculating it. Can you please help understand HOW to identify bias in the dataset and how to calculate it using python (if there is a way).

    thank you so much in advance,
    Irene

    Hi Prashant,

    I could not attach any files for the California House and Phishing Detector projects. I zipped the files and it still did not allow me to upload the files.

    thank you
