Discussion in 'Agile and Scrum' started by Sandeep Souche(4802), Jan 19, 2019.
Discussion thread for participants of the PMI-ACP virtual session starting Jan 19th 2019.
Would you have any template for 'Agile Project Experience', required to be submitted in PMI-ACP application.
Any feedback on this book for PMI-ACP exam prep ?
PMI-ACP Exam Prep Paperback - Mike Griffiths
I do not have a template. But I do have some suggestions. Keep it brief and to the point. Focus on what YOU did. For example: "The project was to deliver a IT service management product. We followed the Scrum method and used 2 week iterations. I played the Scrum master role and coached the team to make the transition to the Scrum method.".
Mike's book is pretty good. Just make sure you get the latest edition which is updated for changes to the exam that came into force in 2018. I would also suggest supplement the book with any other area that you find needs to be worked on. For example, if you haven't worked on Lean and Kanban methods, you may want to read the relevant books from the PMI list of references.
This question is not directly related to PMI-ACP, however I would greatly appreciate your response about it.
Where does SDLC, CI and CD fits in agile framework ?
I have registered in PMI website and try to apply for PMP-ACP exam but I got struck at one point where it is asking "Add Education" in "Requirement" section. Can you confirm following details to complete my application ?
Course Title - Agile Certified Practitioner (PMI-ACP)
Institution Name - Simplilearn.com
Course Start Date - 1/19/2019
Course End Date - 2/9/2019
Hours - Is it 28 hours (4hrs* 7 days)
Qualified Hours - 21 hours
I just entered the sprint ... since I was having issue with my user IDs. Is it ok if I submit the screenshots ?
Is there any export functionalities of chart that JIRA provides ?
I am working on class project, on JIRA trial version (7 Days), and encountering following issues :
No way to record completed story points during sprint
Release, Versions and Burn Down chart feature not available in trial version
Not sure, if others have the same problem.
Please refer this file for project submisison
You can create a 2 day sprint also and complete stories and log hours every hour and then change chart duraitons to 2 days for better visualizations. Make sure Stories have Story Points specified.
It should have those options in trial version. Also there is no point of completed Story Points. Once you specify Story Points, it remains to be that until the story is marked as Done. You can estimate and log actual hours. But story points once specified stay that way for the entire sprint.
The idea is as the team becomes better the weight carried by a story point becomes lighter, means you can deliver more story points.
E.g. a medium complexity task becomes Low complexity after some sprints. So a 5 story point story becomes 3 story points after gaining knowldge and expertise over multiple iterations. So you can have more stories accomodated in sprint and thus velocity (total Story Points delivered in sprints) remains constant or becomes better (higher) in coming sprints.
Hi Sandeep, My application has been selected for audit. Can I have evidence of 28 contact hours to be submitted to PMI to clear the audit ? Whom should I reach out for more details ?
