Hello Sir,
I had read the PMP book long time back, almost a year back when the 6th edition was released. Since, the book is quite big and i am targeting to appear for my exam by September. I wanted your guidance on whether it is sufficient to go through your slides / recording + Agile practice guide + the PMP exam prep e-book (404 pages) and the relevant spotlight videos etc ?

or do you think not going through the PMBOK is not the right decision ?

@vishal_nd(4693104) sir. There is a repeat mock test question as per below on SimpliLearn. I wanted to understand how do we approach this question. and what would be the right answer.

Question:
A project manager is uncertain about the duration of a new product development project and consults several groups of subject matter experts (SMEs). The first group advises that development can be finished in 14 days. The second group identifies some risks that could make the duration up to 32 days. The third group proposes a new development method that can shorten the time to 8 days. What is the estimated development duration for the new product?

Options given are 12 days, 16 days, 18 days and 20 days

Hello the tip here is Project Manager is talking to several groups and not all of them are doing risks based or development method based duration estimation...this should be good enough for you to arrive on answer based on most likely duration...please read from PMBOK more as that will enhance your understanding to capture the answer and this is part of homework you have to do, more you think and practice more you will benefit.
I will give you more material to read shortly.

You should get all 9 recorded sessions. Not sure what issue you have installing the player.. Better to raise a ticket with SL team for the issue with recordings..

hi Ms. Jyoti, I have similar thoughts. however, to effectively use the training and be on track to finish preparation, at present. I am focusing more on studying the Slides (Student Manual-PMI Authorized PMP Exam Prep document.pdf from PMI Lo choice) as ECO is mapped to the new content/format and exam will be based on ECO.
I also posted a question to our instructor on similar lines regarding the scope of questions in 6th edition. I am looking forward to hear from him. Good luck.
I have same question. Did you people get anwer for this.

Hi Team/Attendees,

Is any one preparing already for exam and planning to take the PMP exam within next 2 months? Please comment. I am interested to know so we can start having a more frequent dialogue back and forth regarding subject matter, understanding on topics and relevant questions as they arise. It can be like a study group. Knowledge sharing, Collaboration and team preparation always helps to clear such complex certifications, Hope to hear back from at least some of you.

Thanks

Hi,
I have a question related to application process, application gives three for " Approach/Methodology *" : Traditional(Waterfall), Agile and Hybrid.

In which category will an "Iterative" life cycle fall, in one of the slide it was classified as ADAPTIVE, along with Incremental and Agile.

Should "Iterative" be classified as Traditional as planning for iteration happened in same fashion as Traditional model?

Thanks

Hi,

Let us first see what is Iterative Life Cycle as below:

"An approach that allows feedback for unfinished work to improve and modify that work."

In light of the above,

1) As you clearly see that we do that in Agile we take few top improvements from iteration and apply to the nest iteration.

2) In Waterfall we can do that as well, so we have classical Waterfall and Iterative Waterfall.

"The iterative waterfall model provides feedback paths from every phase to its preceding phases"

Please see the URL below:

Hi Vishal Sir,
While giving the exam came across these two questions. Both the questions have the same intend but different answers. According to me, the answer should be same for both situations. Please provide your guidance.

Thanks
