    Hi Tim good morning,

Yesterday I wrote the PMP exam and was not successful.

The questions that Simplilearn prepare is simple and not the one that is similar to the PMI ask for.

Though I should not disclose the questions, but I am scared how things are really moving.

I expect good tips from your to prepare the next attempt.

    Thank you

Everyone, congratulations when you have passed.

Congratulations when you attempted. I know this is a let-down not to pass the first time, but due to the odds alone, between 5 and 2% of us will take the exam a second time.

Consider that the exam is randomly generated; this means that there exists in the universe a completely difficult exam, and somewhere else a completely easy exam. Take into account we have our own specific strengths and weaknesses, there is some potential for not passing, even when we do everything perfectly.

At this point, what do you need to consider, going into the exam the second time?

    • Take off the table all expectation of a deadline. Focus on quality of preparation.
    • Perform a baseline of your exam. If you don't have total confidence in the Simplilearn material, it will hurt your confidence going into the exam. Many, many people who passed said that the questions were representative of the questions in the practice exam, and you are welcome to your opinion. What IS important is your perception, since confidence impacts passing the exam.
    • Practice against 20-50 practice questions daily. Review the questions you got wrong. FInd out why the correct answers are correct, and why the incorrect answers are incorrect. This will take a bit of time.
    • Observe your progress. When you are comfortable with your progress, schedule once again and schedule out about 2-3 weeks.
    • The last couple weeks of preparation, focus on staying on task and your problem-solving strategies, as well as time management. Keep your knowledge fresh in your head.
Stay in touch. Don't give up. MIstakes are not failure.
