Hi, the answers:
1- PM is the king/queen --- P
2- Functional Managers (FMs) are coordinating project work --- F
3- Team Members (TMs) fully committed to the project work while on the project SM / P
4- TMs fully dedicated to do project work, no functional responsibilities down the road P
5- A common pool to borrow from ---- SM
6- PMs don't report to FMs ---- SM / P
7- No home for TMs after the project is complete ----- P
8- PM and FM have equal power ------ BM
9- FM has all authority on the project ------- F
10- Opportunity of having a career path in Project Management ------- SM (a new box for PMs)
11- Perfect for operational work. Projects, not much (F - BM) Projects Not really: (F)
12- Balancing the consistency and standardization with project delivery (SM ..... accept WM BM)
13- FMs have more power than PMs ----- WM
14- resource optimization ------ SM .... second choice is BM
15- There are more coordinators and expediters around here ---- F second WM
16- Who's my boss today (who am i reporting to) ? best answer would be SM (SM is when the PMs have an independent branch and the PM is not longer reporting to an FM; we have temporary transfer of staff between FM and PM based on the project Resource Breakdown Structure and R histogram) BM: All still under FMs

This is our best shot! corrections and improvements are most welcome!!

Hello Madhumita,

Thank you for these answers...
Let's look into them during today's session

Hello Samer,

While trying using the provided spreadsheet, would like to ask one thing that is this mandatory to have approx 10% contribution in project initiating process and some % contribution in closing phase as I have more experience starting from planning, execution and MC? Please advise.

Hi Nisha,
These are recommended numbers, to be used as optimum reference but your numbers are definitely different since they are based on your experience. The most important thing is that your overall submission demonstrates that you have been working on all process groups.

As mentioned during our sessions, the processes overlap. If you look closely, you can find a lot of things that you do throughout the project and that belong to all the process groups.

Thanks
Samer

Thanks Samer.

If I am understanding correctly then its not important that in all the projects I have worked on, I am involved in all the phases of the project. As I have started from the planning or execution phase in some projects (smaller ones) so it is ok, right?

yes you are right, you don't have to have worked on all process groups in all projects.
but the overall experience should include work in all process groups and inline with the percentage guidelines for every process group

hope this helps!
Best
Samer
