As you have a lot of expertise in project management, many of your company's co-managers consult you for advice and inputs. One of your colleagues who is relatively inexperienced in managing projects wants to compare the project work and measure the deviations. Which document should he refer to? Choose the option that best answers the question.
    SELECT THE CORRECT ANSWER

He should refer to the Project Management Plan
He should refer to the Scope Management Plan
He should refer to the Schedule Management Plan
He should refer to the Performance Measurement Baseline
performance measurement baseline is part of project management plan....so why we are not referring to proj management plan.
Can you please share your thoughts?

Same question here too...why not project management plan..
You are in the process of executing a project that deals with laying out electrical cables connecting two cities. You have been reporting progress on a monthly basis. This month, due to unplanned vacations, many of the staff have not turned up at work. This has caused a delay in the schedule. You decide to check if the schedule variance is within the allowable threshold. What document should you refer to?
    SELECT THE CORRECT ANSWER

    Project Management Plan
    Schedule Management Plan
    Project Schedule Network Diagram
    Activity Definition
@tim jerome can you please look into this.
    3) You are in charge of a project that deals with laying out a lavish 18-hole golf course. The project work is in progress. You also have a number of contractors working on the project. Being an experienced manager you know that communication is key to success of the project. You have identified 10 stakeholders with whom you need to communicate. Due to some internal and external organizational changes at the client's end, three new stakeholders have been added with whom you need to communicate. You also had to reduce one of the contractors with whom you were communicating. How many communication channels do you have now?
    EXPLANATION

Originally, you had 10 stakeholders to communicate with, so the number of communication channels was 10 * (10-1) /2 = 45. However, 3 new stakeholders got added, while 1 stakeholder got reduced. So, the total number of stakeholders = 10 + 3 -1 = 12 and hence the total number of communication channels is (12 * (12-1)) /2 = 66.
In this question ,it says you (project manager ) needs to be added which adds to 13 stakeholders.
    However,the answer doesn't add PM.
Can you please share your thoughts?

    Regards,
    Archana

Why not Project management plan? good question.
you rightly pointed out that all subsidiary plans , all three baselines and other components integrate in Project management plan. All 4 option are right answers. what is best answer?
Assume "X" lives in suburban area of Delhi, India. If I want to meet X, I have best chance to meet him in particular area he lives.
Taking this analogy Performance Measurement Baseline is best answer or pin point answer to compare the project work and measure the deviations.

    "Performance measurement baseline
. An integrated scope-schedule-cost plan for the project work against which project execution is compared to measure and manage performance." PMBOK 6/page 88

My thought, if answer includes options which are part of other option (SUBSET) i will go for option which specifically leads me to question asked.
