The reason that Big Data jobs are exploding now due to the volume of information created daily. In fact, every day 2.5 Quintillion bytes of data are created every day. So can you imagine how much more data we'll have in just one year or ten?

And, someone has to manage and make sense of this data.

There is expected to be a man-power shortage in qualified and trained Big Data specialists in the next few years. And, this is where your training as a Dating Mining and Applications specialist or other Big Data certification pays off.

You can choose to receive training online or via a local college. Right now, there's plenty of people for these jobs, but it's anticipated that within a few years, there will be a manpower shortage.

With the accumulation of new information online whether at Facebook or Google or Youtube, someone will have to know how to manage all that data. There is a lucrative opportunity for anyone who obtains a technical degree and proper certifications to have a good career and job path in big data.

Money is just one reason to get into this highly lucrative job niche, as salaries can expect to top $100,000 a year, regardless of specific speciality chosen. Also respectability as you can be a stand out superstar with your IT knowledge in a way that others are not. Though big data has been around for a number of years, not as many IT people are specializing in this, so you could be one of the first among your group of friends to do so.

There's unlimited growth potential for the Big Data job industry and a qualified candidate can pretty much set their own income requirements. This is true in part to there being such a huge demand for people in Big Data jobs, but so few who are qualified to perform specific tasks. The tasks that are often needed to be performed are highly detailed and specific to a company, sometimes not transferable with skill sets. For this reason, the person who gets the job will often be the one with the most diverse background. To say the least, this is not a job for beginners.

In addition to generous income rewards, you will also have the opportunity to work in an exciting and fast paced team environment with others who share your same passion for Big Data.

And, while a certification for Big Data is essential, so is a strong background in mathematics, programming languages, analytical modeling and area content knowledge. You can learn some of this from your college program, others will be gained through self study and on the job training.
